Our Mission Statement -- Our Principles

Purpose

To ensure that the institution/university work for underrepresented communities in the San Diego-Tijuana region.

Goal

Create a space for collective work and justice driven collaborative projects between faculty, students, workers, and community members to address critical issues facing working people, imprisoned people, immigrants, Indigenous people and historically marginalized communities in the San Diego-Tijuana region.

Actions

Research justice orientated projects lead by affected and marginalized communities.

Expectations

The CLP will work to connect real people and their local struggles to students and faculty at the university who are invested and committed in working together to make social change. The CLP supports non-oppressive and broad efforts to create a just society and help achieve a sustainable quality of life for all.
